We have a wide and varied selection of exceptional violins, violas, cellos and bows for you to view, play and explore. All our instruments are set up by master luthiers and just need you to come and enjoy playing them. From the Finest European antique instruments to contemporary International makers, we apply all our knowledge and expertise to setting up and preparing our instruments for sale.

We consider the value of each instrument in our appraisals and discuss with our customers what level of restoration is appropriate and economical, whilst applying the highest level of skill we can to every project.

The details of an instrument can really make the difference. With our large collection of fittings for Violin, Viola and Cello you can make them look as good as they sound. Choose between ebony, boxwood and rosewood pegs, tailpiece, endpin and chin rests, with six different styles of finish.

Bow rehairs and repairs
The bow is one of the most used tool of the musician, but all too often it gets left to last before we take note. We offer a full range of services from repairs through to restoration. We use the finest quality hair and leathers to ensure a top grade finish.

We believe that with regular checkups of your violin, viola or cello you will be able to find and discover sounds that would otherwise be lost or very hard to make. We have designed a set of string service plans that help keep your violin, viola or cello in perfect condition while you keep a control on costs. We are both sympathetic to the instrument's character and exacting in fixing major issues.

contemporary VIOLIN MAKERS
We specialise in showcasing the work of new violin makers, especially up and coming British and European violin makers. We carefully source instruments for playability and sound. We are very exacting on bridge, sound post and string set ups and everything we sell goes through our workshop for a thorough check up. With the help of local professional players we test out our set ups and experiment with string choices until we have found the best sound.
